Day 2 in the books!

We made it to Minneapolis!

We started the day off well and it lasted ALL day.  We all woke up...faily easily....got ready ( One Time!)  and headed to the airport.  Again check in was easy and I officially LOVE Sun Country Air!  They waived all our baggage fees because of the size of our group :O  That is so awesome!!  Everyone who worked there was super friendly and very helpful.

We got through security with just a little mishap....one of our students tried to bring in a pop in her luggage and they found it.  She is now friendly with the security at the Anchorage airport.  :D  We then went to Chilies for breakfast...it was delicious.  Then we went down to our gate and waited for the plane.  This time it was only for about 20 minutes, perfect for hitting the bathroom, buying gum, and getting everything ready.  We left around 11:20 am.

enjoying his last pop for awhile

The plane ride was long but not too bad really.  Again the staff of Sun Country Air was great.  They gave all the students wings and gave us a heads up on the digiplayers....awesome!  We got a one per row for all the students.  The plane wasn't full so luckily the students could move around during the ride.  They slept....sometimes very spread out, watched movies, played games, etc.  It was a peaceful flight.

We landed at around 7:30 pm we went and got our rental vans.  We have three vans and get this...our colors are red, white and blue...hilarious.  The boys are in one van with Oscar and the girls are split up 5 and 5.  The students loved the van ride!  They liked looking around at all the different vehicles, like semi's AND they smelled skunk for the first time!  Let me tell you...they didn't like it.  I got walkie talkies for the vans so we could communicate quickly and it's a lot of fun!  We played I spy....in the three vans.  We stopped part way at McDonalds, they loved us there.  We got some extra food and the students were happy for the french fries :D

About to take off to Minneapolis
We drove for a little more than three hours, from Minneapolis, MN to Wahpeton, ND.  When we got to Wahpeton we stopped at my Dad's house to use the bathroom, throw away garbage and drop off some luggage of mine that I didn't want to drag around.  Then we drove to Circle of Nations, a native boarding school in town.  They offered to house us for the two nights we were in Wahpeton.  It is a great campus and nice dorms!!  We had girl dorms and guy dorms, two people per room.  Very comfortable and RJ Rabbithead, the guy in charge of the dorms, was very accommodating.  He even offered us a tour for the next day :D  We all got comfy and after a long while....went to bed.
